The organization was founded August 14, 2009, by Freddy Cortez. The function of Volunteer Arizona Live is to provide a central coordinating point for effective Volunteer management within the state of Arizona for community service groups.


The VAL website is a place where other nonprofits can:

        1. Promote their fund raising and special promotional events.
        2. Post any needs for continuous volunteers. 
        3. Promote their organization as a whole.

The VAL organization is a place where other nonprofits can:

        1. Request help recruiting Volunteers for 
                A. special events
                B. fund raising events
        2. Request help organizing Volunteers during events.
        3. Request help in oversight of Volunteers at any time. 

The VAL website and organization is a place where Volunteers can:

        1. Look for Volunteer opportunities in their area
        2. Meet other Volunteers who have the same interests as
            themselves.
        3. Make a true difference in the communities and
            neighborhoods they live in.
