Like all nonprofits, VAL survives off of monetary donations of any amount. All of our staff are unpaid volunteers, so all money that is donated goes to improvement of the VAL website, promotion, and support of VAL sponsored events. 

Your donation is used in many ways including:

    1. T-shirts for Volunteers to wear at events.
    2. Water and snacks for Volunteers at events.
    3. Promotional materials to hand out to nonprofits
        and Volunteers.
    4. Fees associated with all nonprofits.
    5. Fees for website maintenance and hosting.
    6. Volunteer recruiting materials including:
            A. Computer software & hardware.
            B. Ink, paper, and other office supplies.
            C. Banners, posters, and other promotionals. 
    7. Fees and transportation costs for our annual 
        "Volunteering Pays" trip.*

* Volunteer Arizona Live also attempts, to send all VAL volunteers that have donated 288 hours or more of time within a year, to a festival or event within the state of Arizona. Your donation helps us cover the cost of transportation and any fees associated with this annual "Volunteering Pays" trip. This is our way of thanking Volunteers who work diligently to make Arizona a great place to live, work, and grow.
